Professor Wayne Walters interests are in database and client-server application on Internet and LAN platforms. He has also been involved in the Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts, reviews of the data organization and analysis for the Mississippi Department of Public Service, and open source software applications for criminal recordkeeping. Professor Walters has had extensive experience working with NASA contractors on the Apollo 11 mission, governmental intelligence projects, and high performance computing support of the gas and oil industry. In the 1980s, as the former Director of the USM Computer Augmented Curriculum program, he created labs across the USM campus to introduce students and faculty to computing with PC computers. |
